The workshop has been developed for drivers based on our extensive experience in delivering behavioural training to some of the UK’s largest operators and organisations. The workshop delivers evidence-based psychological techniques and methods to improve driver behaviour for your organisation.

Workshop Structure and Content

The workshop is delivered over 7 hours and consists of two modules:

Module 1: What is driver behaviour?

Driver Motives

Drivers discover how their motives underpin behaviour and influence their driving decisions

Good habits and bad habits
Drivers identify how habitual behaviours affect their driving safety

Profiling driver behaviour
Drivers complete our validated online profile for individualised behavioural feedback

Module 2: Changing driver behaviour

Old habits to new habits

Drivers commit to new safer driving habits

Barriers to behaviour change 

Drivers develop coping strategies for dealing with barriers to safer driving

​

Designing your action plan

Drivers complete an action plan to take home and focus on over the coming weeks

What is Driver CPC?

As well as a driving licence, professional lorry and PCV drivers must hold a Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) which is renewable every 5 years. There is an Initial Qualification for new drivers and Periodic Training for new and existing drivers.  

Who will the Driver CPC affect

A Driver CPC is required for drivers of the following categories: LGV (C1, C1+E, C, C+E licence) and PCV drivers (D1, D1+E, D, D+E licence) when driving professionally throughout the UK and Europe, unless there is an exemption for their vehicle or role.
